The scholarship supports students enrolled in or intending to enrol in a PhD in the discipline of Physics or Chemistry, researching a topic that has the potential to contribute to New Zealand's economy. The award provides $105,000 over 3 years' duration for full-time doctoral study at the Manawatu campus. Eligibility is restricted to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who have admission into, or are studying within the first 12 months of, a PhD program.
