About this opportunity
This scholarship is for students studying the Master of Music Therapy degree or are a PhD candidate pursuing studies in Music Therapy at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The New Zealand Society for Music Therapy (Music Therapy New Zealand) wishes to honour the late Sir Roy McKenzie, a long-term benefactor to music therapy in New Zealand, by offering scholarships for students studying the Master of Music Therapy degree, or as a registered PhD candidate pursuing studies in Music Therapy. Two scholarships of up to $5,000 each are awarded annually to support students who have completed at least the first year of the Master of Music Therapy degree and intend to enrol in the second year, or have completed the second year and are about to register for PhD studies in Music Therapy, or have a close professional association with the Master of Music Therapy course. Recipients are expected to demonstrate engagement and contribute to the community and environment of the New Zealand School of Music.
