About this opportunity
The Sir Thomas McIlwraith Engineering Scholarship is awarded to outstanding undergraduate engineering students at the University of Queensland. Established as a memorial to the Honourable Sir Thomas McIlwraith, KCMG, LLD, who served three times as Premier of Queensland, this scholarship recognizes his valuable service to the Colony and his broad statesmanship in the interests of Queensland, Australasia, and the Empire. The scholarship provides financial support equal to the annual income from the endowment for one year to students enrolled full-time in Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering, or dual engineering programs. Eligible students must have completed 44-52 units towards their approved program. Selection is based on academic achievements, leadership accomplishments, community service and engagement, and other factors the selection committee considers relevant for future academic success.
