Sir Thomas White Loan Charity Sixth Form Scholarship

Sir Thomas White Loan Charity Original Source

About This Opportunity

The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity awards scholarships to outstanding students from Leicester, Leicestershire, or Rutland to attend sixth form (Years 12 & 13) at top independent schools in the region. The scholarship covers 55% of tuition fees for two years of A-level study at participating schools: Ratcliffe College, Leicester Grammar School, Leicester High School, and Loughborough Schools Foundation. The scholarship is designed for bright, driven students who currently attend state schools and come from families where independent school fees would not be affordable. Recipients are expected to achieve at least 9 GCSEs at grades 7-9 and demonstrate ambition to excel at A-levels with the goal of attending a top university. This is a competitive scholarship with only one award available per participating school per year. Applications are made directly to the chosen school rather than to the charity, and applicants must complete both the STWLC application form and any additional school requirements. The selection process includes meeting with the Head Teacher or Head of Sixth Form.
