S.J. Cassata and Mary B. Cassata Communication Department Award

This scholarship is held by the Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo with final decisions made by their board of directors. University at Buffalo faculty make recommendations for disbursements annually based on application review. The award is designated for current sophomores or juniors accepted into the communications department with preference given to joint or double majors, although outstanding candidates in communications only will not be excluded. Applicants must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. The donor agreement specifies that scholarship recipients must have been born in and be a citizen of the United States with domicile in New York State. Recipients must complete the FAFSA and provide a financial need essay on the General Application.
