This funding opportunity from the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket) supports projects that strengthen competence development for companies within the regional priority areas of Skåne and Blekinge. The program aims to address skills shortages and meet competence needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within strategic sectors such as Tech, Life Science, food, advanced materials and manufacturing, smart sustainable cities, ESS/MAX IV, and smart industry. Projects can provide knowledge transfer, competence development, advisory services, coaching, and support for strategic competence supply work including leadership training, entrepreneurial skills, green skills, and broadened recruitment practices. Funding is available under two models: direct support to companies where businesses receive funding for employee training costs (GBER Article 31, Box 16), and indirect support where project owners provide subsidized services to companies without direct compensation for their time (De minimis, Box 2). Projects must connect to regional smart specialization strategies and contribute to addressing the region's challenges of low employment rates and low productivity.
