Skinner Fund

The Skinner Fund provides grants to support archaeological and related research in New Zealand. The fund is designed to assist researchers, including students, in carrying out field research and archaeological investigations. The fund particularly supports research that requires organisational or iwi support, and may require permissions from Heritage New Zealand for archaeological work. Recipients must report to Royal Society Te Apārangi showing how the grant was spent and the progress made with the research. Results should be published in New Zealand where possible, with acknowledgement of the funding source, and one copy of any report must be sent to the Society.
