About this opportunity
The Skipton Building Society Charitable Foundation provides grants to registered UK charities supporting people experiencing hardship and/or underserved groups. The Foundation has two focus areas: helping people access a place to call home (including support for permanent and temporary housing in times of crisis), and improving financial wellbeing (including support to address financial difficulty and access to financial education). The Foundation funds core costs, project costs, and small capital contributions up to a maximum of £5,000 (noted as £10,000 in FAQs). Successful applications can include salary costs, overhead expenses, programme scaling, infrastructure investments, essential household items, accessibility aids, educational resources, and technology equipment. The trustees meet three times per year to review applications, and decisions are based on alignment with the donation policy, long-term benefit, quality of application, and number of beneficiaries.
