This grant program provides subsidies for forest road construction in Bømlo municipality, Norway. The program supports sustainable forestry operations by providing financial assistance for building roads that enable economically viable timber extraction. The subsidy is designed to stimulate increased value creation, sustainable use of forest resources, and preservation of environmental values in forests. To qualify, roads must lead to comprehensive solutions that provide a basis for utilizing forest and outfield resources, be approved according to regulations for planning and approval of roads for agricultural purposes, be built in accordance with current standards for agricultural roads set by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and only the forest portion of the road is eligible for subsidy. The program is administered at the municipal level but follows national guidelines from the Norwegian Agriculture Agency (Landbruksdirektoratet).
