About This Opportunity

The Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research offers small grants for projects supportive of the UK mathematics pipeline, from schools outreach to cutting edge research events. Open to all mathematicians in the UK at all career stages, from PhD to Professor. The funding can be used to support mathematical research activity taking place in the UK, including partial or full support for workshops, conferences, symposia, colloquia, travel and local expenses for visiting professors or academics, support for collaborative research programmes, and activities supporting the inspiration, education and training of students and young mathematicians. The Institute particularly values proposals that deliver impact in mathematics through producing high quality research, sharing new research developments with the community, creating new collaborations, or inspiring young people via current research mathematics. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with no closing date, and the Institute aims to provide quick responses, usually within a few weeks.
