About This Opportunity

The Mérieux Foundation has a grant program designed to support local initiatives aimed at fighting infectious diseases in developing countries, particularly projects relating to maternal and child health. Selected projects will receive financial support of up to 5000 euros. The program is specifically designed for local organizations working on the ground in eligible countries to strengthen their capacity to combat infectious diseases affecting vulnerable populations. Two annual sessions are organized to study the applications, with submission periods from December 1st to March 1st and from May 1st to August 1st. Organizations must demonstrate local anchoring, links with local authorities and beneficiaries, and alignment with existing initiatives in their area. The program prioritizes projects that demonstrate long-term focus, are based on local needs assessments, and consider ethics and gender equality in their implementation.
