About this opportunity
A scholarship, valued at $5,000, will be awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student entering Year One of any program in the Faculty of Mathematics who is from Western Canada (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, or any of the Northern Territories). Selection is based on academic achievement (minimum 80% admission average), contest scores as assessed through the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC), and community involvement and/or leadership as assessed through the Admission Information Form. This fund is made possible by a donation from the Smith Vanstokkom Foundation. The scholarship is specifically designed to recognize outstanding incoming mathematics students from Western Canada who demonstrate both academic excellence and leadership potential. No separate application is required as students are automatically considered based on their admission materials.
