SMS Mathematics Postgraduate Scholarship

The SMS Mathematics Postgraduate Scholarship is funded by the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. This scholarship has been established to encourage postgraduate study in Mathematics. The scholarship provides financial support to eligible students who have completed at least one year of study at Victoria University of Wellington and are seeking to study full-time in postgraduate Mathematics. Three scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded annually on the basis of academic merit as demonstrated in courses at levels 200 and 300 (or 400 level if relevant). The scholarship is tenable for one year and is paid directly to the student as a lump sum. Recipients are expected to act as Ambassadors for the university and participate in appropriate events or marketing if requested.
