About this opportunity

The Social Work Bursary is financial support for postgraduate MSW Social Work students administered by the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA). The bursary provides comprehensive funding including a contribution towards tuition fees, non-income assessed and income-assessed bursaries, and Placement Travel Allowance. Additional support may be available depending on circumstances, including Adult Dependants Allowance, Childcare Allowance, Parents' Learning Allowance, and Disabled Students Allowance. Part-time students receive proportional awards. The program is subject to a capping process where the Department of Health and Social Care allocates a limited number of bursaries each year, and Sheffield Hallam University nominates students based on admissions interview scores. Students receiving this bursary are not eligible for a Master's Loan from Student Finance England.
