Sofina Foods Pig Industry Scholarship (with placement year)

The Sofina Foods Pig Industry Scholarship is offered to students at Harper Adams University who are interested in pursuing a career in the pig industry. The scholarship is available to 2nd year BSc or 1st year FdSc students and includes both financial support and a mandatory one-year paid work placement with the sponsoring organization. This competitive award is evaluated on merit based on the submitted application, academic achievements to date, and an interview. The scholarship provides a significant contribution of £4,500 towards education costs, along with employment during the placement year with Sofina Foods. Subject to a review at the end of the placement with the sponsoring firm, there may be an opportunity for further funding in the scholar's final academic year. Students are invited to attend a lunchtime presentation where they can hear from previous scholarship recipients and industry representatives about opportunities in the pig industry.
