Nordland County Council offers summer job subsidies to municipalities to employ youth aged 13-17 during the summer period. Municipalities receive a fixed base amount of 20,000 NOK, with the remainder distributed based on the number of youth aged 13-17 employed during the period June 1 to August 31, 2026. The program aims to provide summer work experience for young people in various sectors including health and care, technical services, tourism, and hospitality roles such as ferry hosts or summer guides. Municipalities advance the wages and receive the subsidy after submitting a simple report in August.
