Sooi Chong Entrance Scholarship in Chemical Engineering

Five scholarships, valued at $5,000 each, are awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students entering Year One of the Chemical Engineering program at the University of Waterloo. This entrance scholarship fund was established through a donation from Sooi Chong (MASc '66, Chemical Engineering) in support of the next generation of Engineering students. Recipients are selected based on academic performance, the Admission Information Form (AIF), and an online video interview. No separate application is required as students are automatically considered during the admissions process.
