About this opportunity
Each year, the Soroptimist Foundation of Canada awards several $8,500 grants to female graduate students in Canada who are pursuing careers dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls. These grants support students in fields that make a meaningful impact—such as healthcare, legal advocacy, crisis counselling, career support for women re-entering the workforce, training for non-traditional employment, and leadership roles within women's organizations and community centres. The program invests in future leaders committed to advancing gender equity and social change. Applicants must be pursuing full-time graduate studies (Master's or PhD) or professional programs at a similar level (medicine, law) at accredited Canadian universities that are members of Universities Canada. Recipients must commit to working in Canada for at least two years after graduation and demonstrate community involvement through volunteer service. The Foundation values applicants who are in need of financial assistance and are dedicated to using their education to improve the quality of women's lives.
