About this opportunity
The Southampton Physics and Astronomy Achievement Scholarship provides 10 stipend scholarships of £5,000 to new undergraduate students in Physics and Astronomy. Five scholarships are awarded automatically based on merit, and the remaining five are awarded to next high-ranking applicants who meet contextual admissions criteria. The scholarships are renewable for subsequent years of study subject to continuing academic performance, for up to £20,000 total. Students must submit an essay of up to 500 words on a physics topic and complete an interview to be considered. Continuation of the scholarship from year 2 onwards requires maintaining first-class performance (70%) each year, with the scholarship available for up to four years.
