Southampton University Corporate Civil Engineering Springboard Scheme (SUCCESS)

SUCCESS is an internship scheme that connects BEng and MEng Civil Engineering students with employers through summer internships, with the intention of creating longer-term relationships and improving employability prospects. The scheme offers salaried summer internships, potential bursaries or increased salaries in return for further commitment, and connections with relevant industry employers and mentors. The intention is to help students build long-term relationships with employers that could lead to further job opportunities. Students typically work for the employer during summer vacations (typically 8-10 weeks) whilst studying and are expected to maintain a suitable grade average (typically >60%) in line with employer expectations.
