About this opportunity
The Southern Hearing Charitable Trust Scholarship provides $5,000 NZD to students with cochlear implants who are pursuing tertiary education or trades training. This scholarship is designed to support individuals with permanent hearing loss who use cochlear implants as they embark on or continue their tertiary studies. The scholarship is open to both high school leavers and adult students enrolled in NZQA endorsed courses or trades training qualifications. Recipients must be within the SCIP catchment area, which includes all regions south of Taupo in the North Island and the entire South Island of New Zealand. The scholarship is proudly sponsored by Forsyth Barr and aims to reduce financial barriers for students with hearing loss pursuing higher education and vocational training.
