Specialist Trikes / Bikes Grant

Family Fund provides grants to contribute towards the cost of specialist trikes or bicycles for disabled or seriously ill children and young people to suit their individual needs. The grants are designed to help children get out and about for exercise, fun or greater independence. Applicants need to specify what sort of trike or bike their child needs, provide a quote for the trike or bike, and explain how the trike or bike will meet their child's additional care needs. These grants cover a contribution towards specialist trikes or bikes, though full costs cannot be guaranteed. The grants must be used in full within 12 months of the date on the grant award letter.
