Spelemidlar

Spelemidlar is a Norwegian national lottery-funded grant program for building and rehabilitating sports facilities. The funding comes from the surplus of games operated by Norsk Tipping, including Lotto, Flax, Joker, and Keno. Nearly half of the surplus goes to sports purposes, mostly for building and rehabilitating sports facilities in municipalities. The program supports ordinary sports facilities for organized sports and physical activity, local community facilities for self-organized sports and physical activity, and rehabilitation of older facilities. As a general rule, grants of up to one-third of approved costs can be provided for building/rehabilitating ordinary facilities, while grants of up to 50% of approved costs are available for local community facilities.
