About this opportunity

Spelemidlar til idrettsanlegg (Gaming funds for sports facilities) is a Norwegian grant program that enables municipalities, sports clubs, and other associations to apply for funding for sports facilities. The program aims to ensure that a larger portion of the population has the opportunity to participate in sports and physical activities. Funding is available for new construction and rehabilitation of organized sports facilities, rehabilitation of sports and outdoor facilities, and neighborhood facilities (outdoor facilities for physical activities in residential areas). Facilities receiving support must not be operated on a commercial basis, must be included in an approved municipal plan for sports and physical activity, and must have universal design. For neighborhood facilities, the area must be freely and publicly accessible, should not serve the needs of organized sports activities and regular sports competitions, and pure equipment playgrounds are excluded from the scheme.
