This funding opportunity supports the development of local cultural venues and spaces in Møre og Romsdal county. The program provides investment grants for cultural buildings including cultural centers, multipurpose facilities, or specialized venues for arts and culture such as libraries, museums, performing arts venues, concert halls, and visual arts spaces. Funds can be used for new construction, purchase, expansion, conversion, modernization and rehabilitation of existing cultural venues, permanent fixtures and equipment, accessibility upgrades, and establishment of life-neutral ceremony rooms. The program is delegated to the county from the Ministry of Culture (Kulturdepartementet) and aims to realize suitable venues, buildings and outdoor arenas that provide space for diverse cultural activities. Applications must first be submitted to the municipality by February 15, and municipalities then forward approved applications with local prioritization to Møre og Romsdal County by May 1.
