About this opportunity

The Special Environmental Measures in Agriculture program (Spesielle miljøtiltak i jordbruket - SMIL) provides grants to preserve natural and cultural heritage values in agricultural landscapes and reduce pollution from agriculture. The program supports cultural landscape measures such as restoration of heritage buildings, clearing and fencing of old cultural land, pollinator-friendly measures, and removal of invasive species. It also funds pollution prevention measures including erosion control ditches, ecological treatment systems, catch dams, environmental plantings, and building improvements to reduce emissions. Planning and facilitation measures for concrete projects that preserve cultural heritage or prevent pollution are also eligible. The program is administered by Engerdal kommune and requires applications to be submitted through Altinn with mandatory map documentation showing the project location.
