Sports Scholarships 2025/26

The University of Gloucestershire will award around 20 new Sports Scholarships to athletes, coaches and officials in 2025/26. The scholarships support outstanding performers in sports that are part of the Olympic/Paralympic/Commonwealth programme, BUCS competition programme, or available within the Students' Union Clubs. Awards are given based on the level of performance of applicants and their engagement with the programme. Scholarships are awarded on a yearly basis and reassessed annually through regular reviews. Students must maintain their sporting performance and academic work throughout the year, compete in BUCS competitions, and act as ambassadors at university events. Funding is paid in three instalments in November, February and May directly into the student's bank account. The amount awarded to each student depends on the number of applications received and the performance level of applicants.
