University of St Andrews Original Source

About This Opportunity

The Spragge Scholarship was established in 1999 to assist UK domiciled PhD students undertaking research in conservation of the natural environment. This scholarship is generously supported by the Rosemount Trust. The award provides £8,250 per annum, paid towards tuition fees first, with any remaining balance paid as maintenance if the tuition fee is below the annual award amount. The scholarship is available for three years of postgraduate study and is awarded based on both academic merit and financial need. Applicants must be studying at the PhD level with a project relating to conservation of the natural environment. The scholarship is open to students from Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, and Wales who are enrolled in full-time or part-time daytime study at the University of St Andrews.
