About this opportunity
The SR Wilson Travel Award is offered annually by the Mathematical Sciences Institute at the Australian National University to support latter-year undergraduate students in attending Australasian conferences in statistical science and its applications. The donor's vision is to encourage mathematics students to pursue research interests in statistical science, and to encourage statistical science students to pursue research interests in mathematics. The award provides funding assistance for registration fees, transport, and accommodation to attend qualifying conferences. Up to 10 awards may be offered each year, with each award valued at $2,000 AUD as a once-off payment. Recipients must be current ANU students enrolled in a bachelor degree or bachelor honours degree in mathematical sciences or a related area, with demonstrated significant experience in both mathematics and statistical science, and having completed a minimum of 60% of their bachelor honours degree or equivalent coursework at the time of conference attendance.
