About This Opportunity
Stiftelsen för Strategisk Forskning (SSF) continues to support Swedish researchers in applying for grants within the Horizon Europe (HEU) program, the EU's framework program for research and innovation. Through this call, the foundation offers 10 million SEK to help researchers apply for EU grants as project coordinators for HEU Pillar 2. The goal of the call is to promote internationalization of Swedish research by stimulating increased Swedish participation in HEU Pillar 2 Global Challenges & European Industrial Competitiveness. HEU projects must be of strategic relevance to Sweden, meaning they should benefit Sweden's future competitiveness. The call is directed at researchers in natural sciences, technology, or medicine at Swedish universities or research institutes who are applying for the role of project coordinator for HEU Pillar 2 projects during 2026 and 2027. Selected projects will receive a maximum SSF grant of 500,000 SEK (including overhead costs). The grants shall be used exclusively to cover costs for salaries, travel, and consultants directly related to preparing an HEU application. The call covers costs from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027.
