About This Opportunity

The SSMF Consolidator Grant is a five-year research grant designed to support outstanding medical researchers in strengthening their position as independent investigators. The grant aims to support researchers who are in the consolidation phase and intend to further develop an already initiated and independent line of research. The grant provides significant funding to enable continued development of research groups. Applicants must be affiliated with a Swedish university or higher education institution, and only Swedish universities and colleges can be designated as grant administrators. The grant can be used for research in all medical fields, supporting both basic and applied research. The total grant amount is 11 million Swedish kronor including indirect costs, distributed over a five-year period with a six-year disposition time. Awarded grants begin on January 1st of the year following the application.
