About This Opportunity

The SSMF Postdoctoral Grant is a three-year grant designed to provide young researchers with the opportunity to advance their qualifications and establish themselves as independent researchers. The grant is intended for postdoctoral research in medical science and can be applied for on a full-time or part-time basis. Part-time grants are intended for individuals who are clinically active in their regular positions, such as physicians. The grant must be administered by a Swedish university or college, and the grant recipient must be employed by or affiliated with the grant administrator and registered in Sweden throughout the entire grant period. For full-time grants, international applicants spend years 1-2 abroad and year 3 in Sweden, while national applicants spend all 3 years in Sweden. Part-time grants are national only, with 3 years in Sweden combining research with 50% clinical practice. The grant aims at scientific advancement and reaching qualifications such as associate professorship.
