About This Opportunity
The Swedish Society for Medical Research (SSMF) offers travel grants for doctoral students active in preclinical and clinical medical research in Sweden. The grant supports up to 50,000 SEK and can be awarded a maximum of three times to the same individual. The grants are intended to cover personal costs for travel and accommodation in connection with visits to other research institutions or clinics for studies of significance to the doctoral student's own research project. Examples include travel to learn new methodologies, collect research data, or other similar purposes. The grant is tax-free and paid directly to the recipient. Doctoral students registered at a Swedish university with at least one peer-reviewed original publication are eligible to apply. The research article must have been published after registration as a doctoral student or in connection with doctoral studies, and in such cases at most one year before registration as a doctoral student. The grants are not awarded for courses, conference or congress travel, materials, printing or other operational costs, nor for per diem or compensation for food costs during the period.
