St Andrews Gateway to Medicine Scholarship

University of St Andrews Original Source

About This Opportunity

This scholarship has been established to support students on the Gateway to Medicine programme at the University of St Andrews. The scholarship forms part of the Wardlaw Scholarship scheme, established in 2004 to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students who would otherwise struggle with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews. Support for the Gateway to Medicine Scholarships has come from a variety of donor sources, including longstanding generous provisions from the Madeleine Steel Charitable Trust and the McCall MacBain Foundation. The award is available for one year of undergraduate study and is valued at up to £7,000 per year. Selection is based on financial need and donor-specific criteria, making it a means-tested scholarship for prospective students who have applied to the Gateway to Medicine programme and have Scotland home fee status.
