About this opportunity
The St. John's College Bradlow Scholarships are awarded to South African nationals intending to pursue a PhD at the University of Cambridge. The scholarship provides support for international fees and maintenance costs for a fixed duration of three years. This prestigious award is open to prospective applicants who have been offered a conditional place by St John's College and have nominated it as their first preference college.
Approximately one scholarship is awarded per year based on academic merit. All eligible applicants are automatically considered if they meet the criteria and have been offered a conditional place by St John's by 1 March. There is no separate application form required. The College forwards suitable applications to the Bradlow Foundation after 1 March, and the Foundation may contact applicants directly if additional information is needed.
The scholarship is designed to support outstanding South African doctoral students pursuing full-time PhD studies at Cambridge. Recipients may be required to submit an annual report on their research for the College or the donor. This opportunity represents a significant investment in developing research talent from South Africa.
