About This Opportunity

The St John's College Ferguson Family Residential Scholarship is part of the UQ Residential Scholarships Scheme, established in 2022 by St John's College and the Ferguson Family under the Create Change Scholarship Match initiative. The scholarship provides financial support towards accommodation fees at St John's College for students experiencing financial hardship. The scholarship provides $4,500 (subject to the annual distribution from the relevant fund and may be more or less in some years) towards accommodation fees for one year. One scholarship is awarded annually to support domestic undergraduate students enrolled full-time at The University of Queensland who are residents at St John's College. Applicants must demonstrate financial hardship by providing documentary evidence such as Centrelink statements, ATO statements, or family income documentation. The scholarship is open to both future and current UQ students across all study areas, with applications opening in September and closing in late February each year.
