St John's College Hely Family Residential Scholarship

The St John's College Hely Family Residential Scholarship is part of the UQ Residential Scholarships Scheme. Established in 2022 by St John's College and the Hely Family under the Create Change Scholarship Match initiative, this scholarship provides financial support to students experiencing financial hardship with the cost of residential fees at St John's College. The scholarship provides $4,500 (subject to the annual distribution from the relevant fund and may be more or less in some years) towards accommodation fees. It is awarded annually to one domestic student who is enrolled full-time in an approved program and is a resident at St John's College at The University of Queensland. Eligibility requires domestic student status in accordance with the University's Fee Policy, full-time enrollment in an approved program, residency at St John's College, and the ability to demonstrate financial hardship through documentary evidence such as Centrelink statements, ATO statements, or family income documentation. The scholarship has a duration of one year and is available for undergraduate students across all study areas.
