About This Opportunity
The Standardbred Enthusiasts Entrance Award is granted on an annual basis to a student entering the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) who is normally a resident in the Atlantic Provinces and has a demonstrated interest and experience with horses. Preference will be given to students focused on the horse racing industry. If there are two or more equally qualifying candidates, preference will be given to a student who is normally resident in Prince Edward Island. This award was established in April 2018 by anonymous donors in consultation with the Atlantic Veterinary College to support incoming veterinary medicine students with a passion for equine medicine and the horse racing industry.
