STAR Student Scholarship

The STAR Student Scholarship is awarded to entering freshmen at Mississippi State University who have been named a STAR Student by the Mississippi Economic Council. This one-year scholarship provides $2,000 in financial support to recognize academic excellence and achievement. The award is disbursed equally over two semesters during the student's first year at MSU. To qualify, students must be first-time freshmen with a minimum 9th-11th grade GPA of 3.0 or higher, be Mississippi residents, and have their STAR Student status verified by the Mississippi Economic Council. The scholarship supports students as they begin their undergraduate education at Mississippi State University.
