About this opportunity
The Starwood Scholarship Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide needs-based scholarships for graduating seniors from Butler High School and Knoch High School. This multi-year scholarship supports students with a GPA between 2.5 and 3.5 who are attending an accredited four-year college or university or an accredited two-year technical/trade institution.
The scholarship provides an average award of $20,000 over four years and is renewable for up to four years. Recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and full-time enrollment to continue receiving the award. The scholarship is designed to support students who demonstrate financial need and are committed to pursuing higher education.
Applicants must be graduating seniors from Butler High School or Knoch High School and be willing to participate in an interview as part of the selection process. The scholarship can be used at accredited vocational or technical trade schools as well as two-year or four-year colleges and universities.
