About This Opportunity

The Statistics and Actuarial Science Graduate Entrance Award is provided annually to select students who will be registered full-time in their first term of a research-based Master's or Doctoral Program in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Waterloo. Awards have a minimum value of $1,000, with amounts varying based on tuition costs and departmental budget. Selection is made by the Associate Chair and the Awards subcommittee of the Statistics and Actuarial Science Graduate Committee, normally in the spring term, based on a student's application for admission to the program. The award is normally paid in the Fall term. Recipients are selected automatically based on academic excellence and demonstrated research ability or potential from their admission application, with no separate award application required.
