Statsbidrag för fjärrundervisning i nationella minoritetsspråk 2026/27

This state grant is provided as compensation for additional costs related to distance learning in mother tongue education for national minority languages. The national minority languages are Finnish, Yiddish, Meänkieli, Romani Chib, and Sami. School authorities are obligated to arrange mother tongue education in the national minority languages if a student wishes to receive such education. Students belonging to one of the national minorities have a stronger right to mother tongue education than other students. The grant can be used for costs associated with the salary of teachers conducting mother tongue education or the salary of supervisors present in the classroom where students participate in distance learning. The grant is available for both purchased distance learning and distance learning that the school authority provides itself.
