This state grant provides students who need to strengthen their knowledge of the Swedish language with opportunities for intensive Swedish language training during school holidays. The grant is intended for pilot activities with language-strengthening initiatives during school holidays for students in preschool class and grades 1-6 in primary school or adapted primary school. Language-strengthening initiatives refer to teaching with a main focus on reading and leisure activities organized in connection with the teaching that provide opportunities for intensive Swedish language training. The initiatives must be conducted daily on weekdays during the week for which the grant is applied. The grant can be used for teacher salaries, meals, premises costs, travel compensation, teaching materials, and costs for leisure activities that are part of the language-strengthening initiatives.
