Statsbidrag för Lärarlönelyftet 2026/27

The State Grant for Teacher Salary Enhancement (Lärarlönelyftet) is a Swedish government funding program designed to provide salary increases for particularly qualified teachers and preschool teachers. The grant aims to improve educational quality by providing financial incentives for teachers who demonstrate excellence and commitment to developing teaching methods. The program is administered by Skolverket (Swedish National Agency for Education) and provides funding to municipal, independent, and state school organizers for pre-school class, compulsory school, adapted compulsory school, special school, Sami school, upper secondary school, and adapted upper secondary school. The funding must be used to increase salaries for teachers who meet specific qualifications, including demonstrated interest and ability to develop teaching independently and with colleagues, thereby improving student results or goal achievement. Teachers eligible for the program must dedicate at least 75% of their working time to teaching, tasks related to teaching, or other tasks of a pedagogical nature, and must hold proper teaching certification.
