About this opportunity
This state grant supports teachers and preschool teachers with doctoral degrees to dedicate part of their working time to practice-based research and development work. The grant aims to promote research and development in the school system that generates direct benefit and usability in operations while strengthening education's scientific foundation. The research projects should be based on identified problems in teaching practice, have clear purposes, and demonstrate concrete connections to instruction and long-term development of operations. Eligible applicants include municipal, independent, and other organizers of Swedish educational institutions from preschool through adult education. The grant provides salary compensation for up to 15% of a teacher's time (Skolverket covers maximum half of the cost, with organizers financing at least the other half). Teachers must be employed, hold teaching certification, have a doctoral degree in subject didactics or a teaching subject, and dedicate a portion of their time to practice-based research.
