About this opportunity
The Public Health Agency of Sweden (Folkhälsomyndigheten) is offering 10 million Swedish kronor in state grants to nonprofit organizations working to promote mental health and prevent mental illness and suicide. The purpose of the grant is to strengthen efforts for mental health. The grant is distributed as project funding for activities that are clearly defined in both end product and time period, with a maximum duration of three calendar years. Organizations must develop their projects in a cost-effective manner that enables follow-up of results and must commit to participating in evaluations and measurements of the grant's effect that the Public Health Agency may conduct. Projects focusing on young adults, elderly people, or individuals at increased risk of loneliness will be prioritized. Knowledge generated through the various projects should contribute to more effective and evidence-based work to promote mental health and prevent mental illness and suicide. Results and experiences from the projects must be disseminated to others working in this field.
