Statstilskudd til drenering

This is a Norwegian state grant program for drainage of agricultural land, administered by Engerdal municipality. Owners of agricultural areas or enterprises that lease such land can apply for state subsidies for drainage projects. The program provides financial support for re-draining previously drained agricultural soil and can also provide grants for leveled areas that have not been previously drained. The purpose is to improve crop yields and quality through better drainage, which creates better growing conditions for plants and easier harvesting conditions. Good drainage also reduces the risk of soil and nutrient loss to water and emissions of greenhouse gases to the air. Applications are processed on a rolling basis with no specific deadline, but applicants must receive approval before starting drainage work.
