About this opportunity

Agder fylkeskommune offers grants to municipalities in Agder for physical place development projects. The grant scheme supports projects that contribute to fulfilling long-term goals in the Regional Plan Agder 2030, focusing on creating inclusive and safe cities and urban areas as part of social sustainability. The scheme aims to support compact urban development, attractive cities and towns, and the creation of meeting places and public spaces. Grants can be used for establishment and improvement of meeting places (squares, common areas), planting, lighting, infrastructure, street furniture, buildings and facilities for cultural and public activities, upgrading existing facilities for accessibility, and temporary urban spaces. The total economic framework for the grant scheme in 2026 is 4.75 million kroner. Applications can request up to 500,000 kroner per project with a minimum of 50,000 kroner. Only municipalities in Agder can apply, and municipalities must act as developer and owner of the project. No co-financing is required, though encouraged. Projects must be completed by September 1, 2027, with possible extension of up to one year.
