Stiftelsen Sjuksköterskornas Kamratfond provides financial support to licensed nurses who are in need of economic assistance due to illness or other reasons. The fund is designed as a welfare support mechanism specifically for nurses facing financial hardship. Eligible applicants must meet income criteria: single households should have an annual income below 236,800 SEK, with additional allowances of 59,200 SEK per additional household member. The grants can be used for expenses such as dental care, glasses, rehabilitation, or medical aids that are not subsidized by the healthcare system. However, the fund does not provide support for studies or debt repayment. Applications are reviewed three times per year by the foundation's board, once in spring and twice in autumn. Applicants can only receive support once every 12 months, and the processing time is approximately 9 weeks.
