Stiftelsen Villa Vingarna

Stiftelsen Villa Vingarna is a foundation that awards stipends to Swedish authors to subsidize the rental costs of their workspace. The foundation's board announces stipends every one or two years, depending on the financial capacity of the foundation. The stipend is intended to fully or partially finance the recipient's workspace rental costs for three years. According to the statutes, stipends from the fund go to deserving Swedish authors in need thereof. The foundation provides a contribution equivalent to the rent for the workspace (up to a maximum of 3,000 SEK per month) for three years. Applicants must either have an existing workspace or be prepared to rent one within approximately three months of being awarded the stipend. The stipend is paid upon presentation of a rental contract or rental receipt. The workspace can be located anywhere in Sweden, but cannot be in the applicant's or their family's residence or in another property owned by the applicant.
